Honda to Recall About 50,000 of Its 2012 Civics

Honda issues the recall over concern that the drive shaft on the driver’s side of the Civics may not have been properly assembled and could separate from a joint while the car is being operated.

Abstract:

Honda Motor Co. said it would recall approximately 50,000 of its 2012 Civic passenger cars in the U.S. to inspect the left drive shaft.

The automaker said the driver’s side drive shaft in some Civics might not have been properly assembled, potentially allowing it to separate from a joint while the car is being operated.
